Robert Chen brings decades of executive leadership in global sales and business development, with a proven track record driving enterprise growth in high-performance computing, SaaS, and cybersecurity with Fortune 500 Companies. Known for combining technical insight with commercial acumen, Robert has successfully led go-to-market strategies across Asia-Pacific and the U.S., forging strategic partnerships and closing high-impact enterprise deals.
During his tenure as Vice President of Sales for Asia-Pacific at Motorola, Robert played a key role in the Motorola’s APAC expansion. Notably, he conceived and championed one of the world’s first mobile-enabled remote gambling systems—an innovative betting station for the Hong Kong Jockey Club that leveraged early-generation Motorola devices. This concept allowed users to place bets outside the racetrack using mobile technology, marking a significant leap in both telecom applications and digital user engagement. At a time when mobile phones were still largely utilitarian, the project anticipated future ecosystems of mobile fintech, digital entertainment, and user-centric services—well ahead of its time. The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) reported a total turnover of HK$134.7 billion (USD $17.3 billion) for the 2023/24 Season.
Mr. Chen was also GM and VP of Sales for (Digital Equipment/HPE)  Taiwan in Hardware, Software, System Integration, Customer Service and PC business. He managed a staff of more than 300 sales people, Sales Managers, plus system integration consultants, program managers and support people. He created System Integration Business Unit for Taiwan’s Semiconductor Companies. Increased System Integration Business Unit from USD $5.0M to $150.0M+ (including hardware, software, database, and system integration and applications software). Digital (Taiwan) won nine major SI contracts with clients like: TSMC, UMC, Win Bond, Vanguard and others in six quarters dominating Taiwan’s Semiconductor SI Business. TSMC is the major semiconductor company for NVIDIA’s GPU Chips.
Following this groundbreaking work, Robert continued to drive innovation and growth from Silicon Valley, taking on senior roles at leading technology firms in Silicon Valley. As GM & he led large-scale initiatives with Fortune 500 companies and global cloud providers, including AWS, Google, and Alibaba. Some of his Key HPC end user accounts include Northrop Grumman, Argonne National Lab., Lawrence Livermore Lab, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Delta Marin, Bosch, NASA, University of Chicago, John Hopkins, Naterra Inc., NEC, Lockheed Martin, and others.
